tissons ensemble - part II,
an educational project exploring textiles

 As part of tissons ensemble project*, children collaborated with Tissage Moutet, one of the last textile mill in southwestern France. The traditional decor of the region -symmetrical stripes- was reinterpreted by the class and then woven on the mill's Jacquard looms. This was a unique opportunity for them to produce a real industrialy woven textile and to discover this heritage site only a few kilometers from their school.
